Have you RSVP'd

When you receive an invitation do you pay attention to the rsvp date? Are you one of those women who is like, "I'll see what other options come up and when it gets closer to the date I"ll decide if I am available." Or maybe you're the type to say an enthusiastic yes to every invite you receive. If you're an overthinker you might consider your outfit choices and wonder if you'll be able to get in with your favorite nail technician or hairstylist! It's likely that by the time you go through all of your options, the RSVP date will have passed. As this year comes to a close, I want to encourage you and if you haven't already remind you to RSVP to the invitation that was customized just for you! Girl, you were born for greatness, born to win but if you don't accept the invite and RSVP sis, you will be sitting on the bench of a game you were meant to win wondering if it's almost your turn to get in!

While you were in your mother's womb (regardless of the circumstances that you believe to have brought you there), you received a beautifully customized invitation to win that is irrevocable! There isn't anything that you or anyone else for that matter can do to change this invitation! That's bible-Romans 11:29 MSG translation says, "God's gifts and God's call are under full warranty- never canceled, never rescinded!" So, I ask you, what is your response? Are you saying yes to the call, to the gifts? And if so, what does your corresponding action look like? Belief is only belief at the point of execution! So if you believe what God says about you to be true you can't afford to sit on the sidelines! True faith can sometimes feel risky but it inspires and requires execution! The ultimate risk would be to decline the personal invitation to win because you don't feel qualified. Don't you for one minute believe that lie! All of humanity is waiting on you to do what you were called to do, present God's gift (you and all of the beautiful things he formed in you- quirks included) to the world and live out your brilliant purpose! Have you RSVP'd?

Sometimes fear will cause us to be slow to respond to purpose or maybe not even respond altogether but remember fear is a straight-up thief! God's plan for you, his purpose in you is what makes you unique! Your invitation to win is wrapped up in your uniqueness, it is the gift that sets you apart, the one you were meant to share with this world! When you received your customized invite it came with all of the tools you need to win. Yes, you have to pick the tools up, sharpen and use them (i.e. show up and work) but they are custom-made, just for your assignments! So sis, mind your God-Given business and get things done! That's Bible too-

1 Thessalonians 4:11, "Make it your goal to lead a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before." Again, real faith can seem risky but the ultimate risk is paralysis or underperformance based on fear! Sis, you've been invited and endorsed by God, what more do you need? Have you RSVP'd?

Even in the midst of 3 pandemics (Covid-19, Racial Injustice and the Economy) the call on your life still stands and your response & obedience to the call is required! Pandemic does not stop purpose! So I admonish you to respond immediately to your specific call. I read a quote recently on social media that resonated with me: "Procrastination is the arrogant assumption that God owes you another opportunity to do what you had time to do." Every time I read that I am immediately compelled to be still, listen for God's voice and respond! There is no amount of procrastination, excuses, trauma, feelings of inadequacy or fear that change the call or gifts God has given you! Yes you need to deal with each of those accordingly but they don't change your purpose! And remember, fear is a straight-up thief and liar don't allow it to rob you of the life God pre-ordained for you! Regardless of your bad days, mistakes, feeling like a total and complete mess, or other people’s opinions of you (which are none of your business), your life, you, have purpose! So ask yourself, am I living someone else’s (your parents, husbands, bosses, social medias etc.) version of my life, or am I living the customized God-version of me? Or maybe you're so focused on perfection that you are paralyzed? If you wait until you feel completely ready, you'll be waiting the rest of your life! As you may know, that's Bible too sis-Ecclesiastes 11:4, " If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done." Don't allow perfection to rob you and the world of the good gifts that your obedience brings! Again, real faith can seem risky but the ultimate risk is paralysis or underperformance based on fear, comparison or people pleasing. You've been invited and endorsed by God! Have you RSVP'd? Don't stop at the start line! Finish the race you were born to win! RSVP!

Some reminders as you are responding to your customized invite to win:

  1. Romans 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect. You can not win in life if you're losing in your mind! Changing the way you think will change the way you live! Your greatest battles are fought in your mind so renew your mind daily! Don't allow yourself to start the day on auto-pilot. Set your mind to purpose, to winning! How do you start each day?

  2. Speak life! Proverbs 18:21 says, "Words kill, words give life; they're either poison of fruit-you choose." You can't speak death and believe for life at the same time! What you choose to listen to, believe and speak matter. If you don't change it, you choose it! Are the words you speak putting a demand on your God-given purpose? What does your God-talk, self-talk and others talk sound like?

  3. Value your gifts! You are not here to imitate sis! You are different on purpose don't downplay your differences, quirks or preferences lean into them, they were given to you by God! No one is more equipped than you to do what He created you to do! Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you to speak for me to the nations." Your gifts (cooking, speaking, writing, baking, drawing, editing, singing, organizing, dancing, decorating, connecting, encouraging, calming, etcetera) will be valued by the people God has called you to. Don't devalue your God-given gifts! Do you see your uniqueness as a flaw or maybe as not being good enough?

  4. Protect your purpose with prayer and discipline! Pray over your purpose and gifts daily! Stir them up with not only prayer but use and refine them so that at the appointed times you will be ready! It's your choice to live with discipline or disappointment. We all know what living with disappointment feels like! Living a life of discipline = success! Living with daily discipline helps to create micro-wins that will lead to macro-wins! Are you living a disciplined life?

Sis, you are God's brilliant idea! He pre-programmed you to win! He placed in you everything you need to answer the call on your life! You are God's gift to humanity.

Répondez s’il vous plaît!

Sending love and Tiff hugs...
